Hey there!
I’m McKenna Ownby, owner of Elevated Editorial and lifelong storyteller based in the Pacific Northwest. I specialize in bringing narratives about nature and people to life, along with editing content for every platform under the sun.
I’m also a mom. When my daughter arrived in 2022, I decided to leave my day job behind as an editor in corporate sustainability to stay home during her first few years of life. As I navigated early motherhood, I was determined to continue creating content that helped others feel connected to each other and the environment we share. I loved it so much that I decided to give my little side business a name, and in 2024, Elevated Editorial was born.
Over the last decade, I've worked in for-profit and nonprofit settings. I’ve written about people, problems, and products. I’m passionate about preserving the outdoors, debating the Oxford comma, and finding just the right combination of words to convey a point. Most of all, I believe in using words to create meaningful messages that inspire change.
Connect with me, and together, let's create something impactful.
